Privacy Policy

Evercue (“we”, “us”) is a task and reminder app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what data the app and the evercue.ai website handle, where it goes, and the choices you have. The short version: your tasks stay on your device unless you turn on sync, AI features run on your device, and we don’t use advertising, tracking or third-party analytics.

What stays on your device

The tasks, lists, notes, dates, reminders and settings you create are stored in the app on your device. They’re included in your device backups according to your own iCloud or computer backup settings. Reminders are scheduled as notifications on your device; no notification service of ours is involved.

Apple Intelligence

• Capture suggestions use Apple’s on-device language model. The text you type is processed on your device and isn’t sent to us.
• Planning (for example “I’m away this weekend”) uses the on-device model by default. If you turn on Use Private Cloud Compute for planning in Settings, the text of your planning request (not your tasks) may be processed by Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which Apple designs so that your data isn’t stored or made available to Apple. Evercue decides which tasks move on your device, and you review every change before it’s applied.
• You can turn AI suggestions off in Settings, and keep any list out of AI from its menu.

Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight

If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Evercue, Apple processes those requests under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Evercue makes open tasks searchable in Spotlight; that index is kept on your device by iOS.

Evercue sync (optional, invite-only beta)

Sync between devices is being tested with a small group of invited users and is off unless you connect it. When it’s on:

• Your lists and tasks, including titles, notes, dates, reminders, repeat rules and completion status, are stored on Evercue’s server in the United States so your devices can stay in step. We also store a random device identifier the app creates, and a history of changes so edits can be synced, recovered and undone.
• Access tokens that connect your devices are stored only as one-way hashes.
• Connections use HTTPS. Stored data isn’t end-to-end encrypted: our service can read synced data in order to sync it and, in the future, to run features you turn on.
• The service database is backed up nightly. Backups are kept for up to about 60 days, including a copy with a cloud storage provider.
• Our server logs record request details such as time, address, status and a request ID, but not the content of your tasks.

What we don’t do

• No advertising, and no tracking you across other companies’ apps or websites.
• No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
• We don’t sell or rent your personal data.

TestFlight

If you test Evercue through TestFlight, Apple shares crash reports, device information and any feedback you choose to send with us, under Apple’s TestFlight terms. We use that only to fix problems and improve the app.

The evercue.ai website

The website doesn’t use cookies or analytics, and we don’t keep access logs for it.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and help you.

Keeping and deleting your data

• Data on your device is removed when you delete it in the app, or when you delete the app.
• If you used sync, email privacy@evercue.ai to delete your synced data. We remove it from the live service within 30 days, and it ages out of backups within about 60 days.

Children

Evercue isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change how Evercue handles data, we’ll update this page and its effective date. For material changes, we’ll give notice before they apply, for example in the app or by email.
